    I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your home! What are the colors of your window trim, door and lower and upper wall?

      @JoLynnB Thank You so much! The paint colors are Ralph Lauren paint - oatmeal on walls. The trim and lower walls are olde century paint - linen white, the door is linen white also.

    i think this absolutely lovely as well. May I be the bad-guy here. I was always taught to take a picture and if your eye stops on something then something is wrong with that item. When my eye scans these pictures two things pop-out. 1) the square dollie on the round table. 2) the check is two large for the room size on the furniture. Don;t get me wrong, I do love this cape it's merely a decorator's comments. Everything else is spot-on beautiful.

      @Author_9959 Thank You Author 9959, I appreciate the compliment.
      Actually the floorcloth is the back of vinyl flooring, it was a cheaper way of doing a canvas floorcloth. I learned about it in Country Sampler and I think it is one of the decorating hints on this website. It is funny I didn't like it that much and now it is a floorcloth on my screen porch.

    The styling of kitchen is really nice. Can you please tell me about the countertop and paint choices you used? I would love to see some closer pictures as well. You have excellent taste!

      @SARAHM_1044 Hi Sarah
      Thank you for the compliment, I appreciate it!
      The countertop is black granite honed, if you don't know what honed is, it is the process of taking the shine off granite, it makes it look more like soapstone, to me anyway. The paint colors are: mustard cabinets-old village paint- forged mustard, cranberry cabinets-old village paint Salem brick, the wall color is olde century paint- linen white. I will post some closer photos soon.
      Thanks Donna

    Hello, Do you ever offer this wonderful floorcloth for purchase? Thanks,Shelley
    1. donnaS_4659 posted on 01/04/2013 09:49 AM
      @Author_117322 Hi Shelley
      No I am sorry, it is not for sale.
      You know it is just the back of vinyl flooring, I bet you could make one yourself,
      it is easy, but time consuming.
      I am going to make another small one for my back door entry.
      thanks Donna

    JUST BEAUTIFUL!!! I am a lover of primitives, preferring a more simplified decorating style. It's so refreshing to actually be able to see your furniture and each room on it's own without a lot of clutter! Sometimes when I see the rooms that are featured in each issue of Country Sampler, I could just GAG!!! Decorations should ENHANCE a room and not hide it. You did a wonderful job and I would hope to see your home featured in Country Sampler in the future. What a breath of fresh air!!!
